Bowlers, beavers and top hats

A selection of various top hats and bowlers for gentlemen and also for ladies.
The bowler hat (also known as bob hat, derby (US), billycock or bombín) was a very common piece of clothing for the 1800s English gentleman, especially in London, but it was also used in the United States. The most famous bowler users were probably Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy. :) The bowler is still used as a women's hat in South America: in Bolivia and Peru, a round-shaped bowler is a traditional headdress of Quechua and Aymara women (called a bombín in Spanish)..
The top hat (also topper, beaver hat, high hat, silk hat, cylinder hat, chimney pot hat or stove pipe hat), in turn, was a characteristic headdress for the upper class. The cylinder hat was used with different clothing in the 1800s and early 1900s. Today, the top hat is worn with festive outfits such as a tuxedo and cutaway. High hats are particularly suitable for Dracula, vampires, gothic people and steampunk style.

The size of a hat: measure your head circumference with a tape-measure and compare that to the measurement of the hat.
